343 Industries released a behind the scenes video on Wednesday of it’s upcoming live-action series, Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, that focuses in on the one-of-a-king Warthog that was used in a chase sequence.
While the Warthog may be ubiquitous in the Halo universe, there’s only one of them in the real world and it was built by Peter Jackson’s WETA Workshop as part of the Halo movie push back in 2009. WETA lent the Warthog to the Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn production where it was used to tear through the forest under its own power or pulled on the back of a truck to create one of the action scenes for the web series where Master Chief and some UNSC cadets are trying to escape a Covenant attack.
The first episode of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn goes live on Halo Waypoint and Machinima on October 5. It will also be available as a download code in the Halo 4 Limited Edition and sold separately sometime after the game launches for the Xbox 360 on November 6.
